Chris Teel shoots DW Chase in Houston

Image Amplified just published a photoset I did with Candadian photographer Chris Teel who was in Houston, Texas visiting.

Chris Teel and I spent the entire afternoon working around the downtown area of Houston Texas, which is the 3rd largest city in the United States now. We had amazing weather and I tried to show him the most interesting places in the few hours we had to make this photoshoot happen. Teel was really great to colaborate with and took many of my suggestions and I his.

Return to the Appalachian Mountains

If you know anything about my modeling work, you know I got started taking pictures of myself back home in NC. Well when a photographer canceled on me this month and the shoot we had planned, I decided to be creative and do the shoot myself.

I have been featured on the cover of Beautiful Magazine before and featured on their website many times. They were yet again interested in my latest endeavor and published the photos along with the story of how and why they came about!

DW Chase is a man who knows what he wants. Only 1,70 meter (5' 7") tall he knows his limits in runway modelling and has specialized in underwear and swimwear modelling. His solid regime in working out has clearly resulted in transforming his body to perfection in order to do this. Despite his height Dustin is a well sought after model. Not in the least thanks to that cunning ability to adapt himself to every situation and seemingly effortlessly filling in every conceptual role he needs to play to make a photoset extra ordinary. Dustin is choosy, doesn’t like to waste time with nonsense and is straight to the point. He is also serious, modest, and down to earth. Even if his photos sometimes suggest otherwise.

i-Soul Studios (Dallas, TX July 2012)

I have always been a big fan of Joe Sayers, not just because he has amazing body hair, great poses andhas worked with the best, but because he is short like me (and people saw we have a similar jaw line?) i-Soul Studio's has worked with Joe many times, they are good friends and I contact the Dallas photographer and we began working on ideas and set a shoot date for late June.

We discussed Joe a lot, and while my look in the photos in much different I still feel like Joe helped inspire some of the shots. The photographer said he prefers to shoot shorter models because of their better poses and better proportions (hmm).

I had a blast working with this photograher and he is easily another that I would like the oppertunity to work with again. I was also lucky enough to be styled by popular make-up and hairstylest Tony Greenleef who has been in the bussiness for over 20 years.

You can see most of the shoot published on Island magazine blog and I will be posting more from the shoot later!

New Photoshoot with photographer NHD (Nate Dang) North Houston Texas
I first spoke with model Nate Dang when I lived in California, I found him on Model Mayhem. Then years later saw he lived in Houston and was also doing photography. Now Nate is only 24 years old, hasn't worked out in a year he says and still is in better shape than me, very intemidating. But the dude can take a mean picture. He doesn't say much, but I couldn't be more thrilled with the pictures. It ws fun tresspassing on all these abandoned farms and houses and trying to odd locations into something great, but Nate has a great eye. I will most certainly be wanting to work with him again.

A special thanks to Rick and Troy from Image Amplified for publishing me and Nate!!!
