Ev Dylan - Beverly Hills shoot - Feb 2010

So the first shoot of 2010, returning to California with Ev Dylan.

California weather was not what either of us planned for, pouring rain, land slides, we were actually blocked in the house we were staying at due to a rock slide. Of course that didn't stop us. For this shoot, I had long, very long dark hair, completely let the body hair grow out, which made for one heck of an iconic pit shot that I was very proud of. While in Beverly Hills, Ev did a lot of shooting for his upcoming book Lust with some really great models.

shoot with MichaelNYC, Manhattan, NY

While up north I also landed a shoot with MichaelNYC. I am not sure he liked me as a model, because I only received three pictures, and we shot quite a few things.

CS Photography The Sequel: Nov 2009 BOSTON, MA

For November 2009, I decided against my better judgement to travel up north for a week. Dreading the cold temperatures of Boston, New York and Connecticut, I went anyway, because I had never been in the area.

My long time friend and photographer CS Photography and I had planned to work together again since our first test shoot in Los Angeles almost exactly a year prior. He now works in Boston, so this was finally that opportunity.

The first thing you notice about CS Photography is the editing, he is so talented at editing pictures, he will spend hours upon days getting it perfect. We both had ideas for a couple of the shots, I came up with the sink shot, while the flying necktie was all his creation.

It was great to work together again and maybe some where down the line we will make it a third shoot, because I def owe him short hair, facial scruff, body hair shoot since I always seem to have disagreeable long hair during our shoots, haha.

Firebird Photography - Sept 2009

While in Hawai'i I had the privilege to work with renown Hawaiian photographer Cheyne Gallarde who is Firebird Photography. He has one of the most recognizable photography styles online. His obsession with both the vintage look and the clothes of an evaporated era make his work remarkably distinctive. Everyone wants a Firebird shot in their portfolio and I was very excited that Cheyne agreed to work with me while I was on the island.

We did three themed concepts near Honolulu, one was a swashbuckler, the other a French Legionnaire, and finally a simple vintage beach boy. After meeting Cheyne is doesn't take long to realize his passion for his work, and I think that shows through his photography. Every idea and concept is truly unique to his creativity. He takes common items and turns them into functionable wardrobe, organizing all the items himself.

Ev Dylan part 10 - HAWAI'I

The 10th time working with Ev Dylan would be the begining of his official work on an upcoming book called Lust. Traveling to the northshore of Oahu in Hawaii was an amazing experiance, and to be able to shoot with one of my favorite photographer's in such an iconic location was a dream come true.

I had been working on concepts for this shoot for a while, and as usual some of my ideas didn't pan out. However it seemed most of the great shots we captured were from Ev Dylan's quick improvised thinking. The Hawaii images were unlike most of the stuff we had shot up to this point.

My look was changed yet again, long, blond curls this time, and I played around with my body hair each set of pictures we took, so you will notice some varriation from shot to shot.

Ev Dylan shoot and concepts - August 2009

Always working to find something new and creative to shoot, Ev Dylan and I worked on some concepts that showed me with darker hair and in different positions, lighting and looks than I had done before. Two of these turned out to be steler shots that ended up on Model Mayhem. One of them, in the underwear caused a stir even though the fabric in the picture is an illusion. The boat series and look was really unique, as I hadn't done anything like that before and really enjoyed taking my look in a completely different direction. The would be the 9th shoot Ev Dylan and I did together.
